Guitar Center is coming to Peoria, and we got to be a big part of making it happen. We were brought in to install a complete electrical system from the ground up - power, lighting, the whole thing. For a retail space this size, that's no small task.
Commercial buildouts like this one require a lot of coordination before a single wire gets pulled. You're working around other trades, following a tight construction schedule, and making sure every circuit is planned out correctly the first time. There's no room to wing it on a job like this.
What stands out about retail electrical work is the detail involved in the lighting layout. A music store has display areas, demo stations, checkout counters, and specialty zones - each one needing the right light placement and the right amount of power to function properly. Getting that right takes planning, not just execution.
We take commercial buildouts seriously because business owners are counting on us to get it done right so they can open on time. A bad electrical install creates delays, failed inspections, and headaches that ripple through the entire project. That's not something we let happen on our watch.
Being part of a recognizable build like this one is something we're proud of. It's a good reminder of what a crew that knows commercial electrical work can pull off when everyone's locked in and doing their job right.
