When a new retail space needs power, it needs the right power from the start. Not just enough to get by - but a system built to handle real commercial loads without issues down the road. That's exactly what this job called for.
We installed a 480V 3-phase, 400-amp service for a retail buildout that was starting from scratch. Three-phase power isn't something every electrician sets up regularly, and it's definitely not something you want done halfway. It's the backbone of serious commercial electrical infrastructure - handling heavy loads, running equipment efficiently, and giving the space room to grow without constantly maxing out the system.
The exterior work is tight and organized. Properly mounted disconnect gear, conduit runs secured clean against the block wall, and metering equipment all tied together the right way. Inside, the panel boards are mounted on a plywood backing board, the conduit drops run straight and true from the ceiling, and the transformer sits cleanly at the base. Nothing sloppy. Nothing thrown together. This is what a commercial buildout is supposed to look like at rough-in stage.
A lot of buildouts cut corners early because no one's going to see the electrical work once the walls are finished. That's exactly when corners shouldn't be cut. What's behind the walls and on those exterior panels has to be done correctly - because fixing it later costs way more than doing it right the first time.
This is the kind of work we do on commercial projects - clean, code-compliant, and built to hold up. Whether a space is going in from the ground up or getting a full electrical overhaul, getting the service right from day one is what everything else depends on.
